Meet the team – Max Pritchard
In our latest meet the team, we speak with Max Pritchard, Commercial Banking Executive in our real estate team.
What is your area of expertise?
While I am fairly new to the industry, I specialise in real estate. At Arbuthnot Latham, I can learn from the many experts in our team who have been working in real estate for a long time and built high quality debt portfolios with some great clients. I work with individuals who need funding for a whole host of reasons, whether that is buy-to-let, development opportunities, or simply to release some equity. Working with these clients is interesting as the portfolio type and size ranges from single properties to well over 100.
What challenges are clients facing at the moment?
With rising interest rates, some of our clients require extra help on their loan repayments or structures. We have worked, and continue to work closely with them to mitigate any potential issues that could arise within the current market. On many facilities, we can provide both short and long-term solutions tailored to each client’s circumstances.
What sets Arbuthnot Latham apart in the market?
Arbuthnot Latham prides itself on many things, however for me, one of the most important factor is our customer service. We provide this through the close personal relationships our relationship managers build with clients and access to 24/7 support from our client support teams. I have always worked with some element of private client relationships and Arbuthnot Latham’s service offering was an important factor in my decision to work here. The size of the bank allows me to learn from the experts in their respective fields by working closely with them through my graduate scheme.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I live in a nice rural area, so going for country walks is up there on my list. I also try and go to the gym as much as possible and watch quite a lot of rugby (especially this year!). Mostly though, I can be found watching whichever TV series I am heavily invested in that week, or a good 90s film if I have time.
