Why did you choose to join Arbuthnot Latham?

A key driver was the excellent reputation Arbuthnot Latham has in the marketplace. I enjoy building relationships and taking time to get to know my client’s needs; analysing these to find the best outcome. The culture of the bank is exactly that and this is echoed across both client and employee testimonials.

What is your banking specialism and what do you like about it?

My banking specialism is meeting the financial needs of private clients, ensuring that I am their trusted adviser in anticipation of, and throughout, the various milestones and life events that they will undoubtedly face. I love understanding and analysing the options available to help clients with their current and future financial plans. I have a deep understanding of the world of regulated mortgages and have enjoyed lending to clients and advising them throughout their home buying journey.

What is happening in your sector currently and how can Arbuthnot Latham support?

The last few years have shaken the norm of low interest rates. Whether clients are borrowing, saving, or investing, I believe it is crucial to have a trusted point of contact allowing for open discussions about how the economic climate is impacting them. The Arbuthnot Latham model provides our clients with dedicated bankers who can provide bespoke solutions to their needs at the same time as providing reassurance or clarity, when required.

Borrowing is now comparably more expensive than the market has been used to, however, there are potentially some good opportunities ahead that clients may wish to consider with the support of Arbuthnot Latham. Our competitive deposit rates, in conjunction with the financial strength of the bank, provides for a good home for client monies. Our offering also gives clients direct access to wealth planners and investment managers, who can advise on ways to attempt to combat the present effects that inflation is having on cash balances.

Confidence in the financial services marketplace was undoubtedly shaken during 2023. At Arbuthnot Latham, we strive to maintain client confidence by focusing on our human scale approach to relationship banking and service excellence, all underpinned by modern technology.

What do you like to do outside of work?

I am always on the go, whether that is socialising with friends and family or playing some kind of racquet sport. I have a love/hate relationship with running and so you will often find me signing up to a race as I enjoy having something challenging to work towards. I ran the Berlin Marathon in 2022 and in the future, I hope to complete the rollerblading marathon in Berlin. I love learning new things and could talk to you for hours about your favourite hobbies and interests!
