Meet the Team: Sally White

In our latest "Meet the Team" interview, we speak with Sally White who has been a key member of our Bristol team since the office opened in 2017.

You have been with Arbuthnot Latham for over five years - tell us about your role.

I look after four banker’s portfolios and am often the first point of contact for client queries and helping them with day-to-day transactions. I also onboard new clients to the Bank. Five years ago I helped co-ordinate the move to our current location and have continued to manage the office, welcome visitors, and facilitate meetings. When I joined, we were a team of three, now we are up to 13, which is great.

What are the biggest changes you have seen since you have been with Arbuthnot Latham?

Five years ago, the Arbuthnot Latham name was not so well known in the city. The team worked hard through networking to get things off the ground and to raise brand awareness. Now we are established in Bristol, our brand and reputation continues to spread through word of mouth, by local entrepreneurs, professionals, and clients. We run regular networking breakfasts of our own with talks on the trends impacting investors, global economies, and financial markets which are always popular.

What do you like best about your job?

Our client base is growing, so to make sure we continue to offer exceptional client service, we are expanding the team, which is exciting. I most enjoy working with our clients and getting to know them. Many have grown healthy businesses from modest beginnings, so I love to hear their backstories and how they have paved their way to success - and I like to think I have played a small part in helping them on that journey with Arbuthnot Latham.

What do you like to do outside of work?

I love the great outdoors and before lockdown my partner and I hiked and camped all over the country. During lockdown we bought a seaworthy canoe. We have paddled down the Pembroke coast and camped overnight, canoed on the Norfolk Broads, and the Lakes. The wildlife you see off the coast is amazing. I think I definitely have the bug for it now.
