Now in its 24th year, the ‘Inspiring Women Awards’ took place in Manchester last month, to celebrate women who make a difference across the Greater Manchester region.

Arbuthnot Latham was very proud to announce the winner of “Entrepreneur of the year 2016” as Jayne Hynes of Kiddyum, with our Head of Private Banking Liz Bottomley presenting the award.

Jayne’s story is certainly one of hard work, and she was clearly in shock at winning the well-deserved award. She had taken her Mum to the ceremony as her guest, but did note in her acceptance speech that her husband had contributed hugely to her success and would be disappointed not to also take centre stage.

Jayne Hynes founded and runs “Kiddyum”, offering a range of frozen British made children’s meals, all ingredients are locally sourced and their packaging is made of 99% recycled materials. The company started because of Jayne’s passion for good food and wanting to provide her children with nutritionally balanced, healthy food, whilst also working full time, raising two young children and home cooking a meal for herself and her husband every night.

Head of Private Banking Liz Bottomley said of the event “This was a wonderful day of celebration, with a lot of inspiring stories ranging from businesses to community help”.

The North West Arbuthnot Latham team do a lot of work with entrepreneurs and business development in the region, across Private Banking and Commercial Banking and are well placed to provide relationship service banking across the North West of England.
